GF Round Steak

Happy Valentine’s Day! I feel like the “right” Valentine’s Day meal includes red meat. With that in mind, I made a London Broilish round steak. I served sliced thin and with baked potatoes and a green salad. For dessert, Red Velvet Whoopie Pies (see previous post).

GF Broiled Round Steak

2 lb. round steak
1/4 cup olive oil
2 Tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
2 Tbsp fresh savory, chopped
2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1 tsp sea salt

Combine herbs, salt, and olive oil in a small bowl. Allow to sit together for an hour or so. Place round steak on a broiling pan. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. Then add the olive oil mixture to the top of the round steak. Broil for 5 minutes then flip over and broil for 3-5 more minutes. It will taste best cooked to a medium rare.

Slice thinly and serve with A1 Sauce.
